Summary

Midoriya inherits the superpower of the world’s greatest hero, but greatness won’t come easy。

What would the world be like if 80 percent of the population manifested superpowers called “Quirks”? Heroes and villains would be battling it out everywhere! Being a hero would mean learning to use your power, but where would you go to study? The Hero Academy of course! But what would you do if you were one of the 20 percent who were born Quirkless?

Class 1-A’s joint battle training with Class B continues! Class 1-A get the first win in the best-of-five series of all-out Quirk battles, but after some feedback from the teachers, the students square off again for a second round, and real rivalries form。

5/5 Out of all comic//manga series, My Hero Academia is my all time favorite。 Ive watched all of the show, read ALL (including the most recent chapter 305) the manga。 The characters are so beautifully created。 It legit has the best villain besides the Darkling。 Ive been obsessed for a year now。。。 I JUST FLIPPING REALIZED THAT WE WERE ONE EPISODE AWAY FROM SEEING DABI IN SEASON FOUR。 That has given me motivation to watch Season 5

i still don’t give a damn about endeavor。 i’m just glad the entire volume wasn’t about him。the ending left me wanting to see how the class battles end up going though! i wonder if every fight will be covered and we’ll finally be introduced to every member of class 1-b and their quirks。 that’d be pretty cool。 3 stars from me。

I love this series! It critiques saviorism and shows the process of growing and reflecting on how to best help the world/make it a better place。 This is my first time reading manga in awhile! This is the first volume that I went into completely blind because, as of writing this, Season 5 of the anime has not yet aired。 I was very excited to see what happens after the cliffhanger ending of Season 4, and I wasn't disappointed! The Endeavor vs High-End Nomu fight comes to an end, and we see who orchestrated it。 I had a funny feeling that the fight was too convenient, and turns out I was right! We then learn some more about Endeavor's family and how they feel about him, in particular Shoto's older siblings, Natsuo and Fuyumi。 They haven't forgiven him for what he did, and don't appear to want to do so any time soon, but Endeavor swears to become a better person, as we've seen in previous volumes。 It's hard to root for someone who's done such terrible things to innocent children, and to his wife。 I certainly don't forgive him, but I admire that he's realised his wrongs and is working towards putting things right。Midoriya ends up having a strange, very realistic dream about the previous One For All users, in particular about the first user and how the Quirk links to All For One, since All Might has said that the Quirk is meant to defeat him。 We get a look at the two characters and how they were involved in the chaotic period when Quirks first appeared。Joint training between Class 1-A and 1-B beings, and an old favourite character returns! A character well deserving of a comeback。 I don't want to spoil who it is, but they're one of my favourite characters。 I'm currently writing a fanfic about them! We finally get to see 1-B's quirks in action properly, and some of them are so cool! In truth, I was dreading another training arc because it can get a bit boring when you already know everyone's quirks, but 1-B really bring a challenge。 1-A has field experience fighting villains, but 1-B has been training hard and working on developing their Quirks and abilities。 We also see how 1-A has improved, especially the characters who haven't had much screen time lately, leaving you wondering what they've been up to since we last saw them。Overall, an amazing volume! It was so exciting and dangerous, and I'm eager to see some more of the joint training in the next volume! My Blog 。。。more

in hopes that they will eventually be able to join the hero course。 The guest that joined the competition is Shinso。 A lot of people know who Shinso is because of the incredible performance he had at the Sports Festival。 The teachers were all confused on why the kid ended up in General Studies and not the hero course, so they decided to give him this opportunity to help him get in。 The competition was going to be a game where each class got into a group of four where two groups, from separate classes, face each other。 The game was simple。 Each group had to capture four of the opposing team members。 Since Shinso was added, one of the groups had five players。 A lot of people thought that how Shinso was inexperienced, he’d have trouble keeping up with the rest of his team, but based on his performance, it looked like he did a great job。 Shinso, Denki Kaminari, Tsu, Kirishima, and Koji were all in the same group。 The opposing team attacks the team as soon as it starts, and Koji and Kirishima end up getting captured。 Shinso’s team captures one of their players, but if the opposing team takes two more of theirs, they’ll win。 Now it was up to Tsu, Kaminari, and Shinso。 Tsu thought it was better to make the enemy not know which one was who, so she gave them a substance that will allow the opposing team to think everyone was her。 As the three of them were heading towards the enemies, Kaminari suggests he purposely gets captured。 He plans, by doing this, he will become a decoy and the two of them can capture the other’s while they’re distracted。 This plan was a success, and they ended up winning the fight。 Now it’s time for Tokoyami, Mina, Momo, and Aoyama to fight。 The winners will be decided in Volume 22。If I were to recommend this book to anyone, I will recommend it to my two friends, Mariana and Fergie。 They both have watched the anime and are still obsessed with it。 I know Fergie is going to read this book soon, but I don’t know about Mariana。 This series is suited for both boys and girls。 I feel like both would enjoy the storyline and the characters in it。 As long as they’re above the age of 10, anyone can read it。 Mrs。 Desimone, I don’t know if this series is the type of book you’ll like, but I would recommend it to your husband。 I remember you telling the class that he watches My Hero Academia so I have a feeling he might enjoy this book too。Throughout the second marking period, I have read more books than I can count。 If I read any more often, I probably might end up without a sleeping schedule。 The only problem I’ve been having trouble with, in this marking period, is updating Goodreads。 Most of the books I read aren’t big-time books and I usually like reading them on my own, so then I end up not being able to use any of them on my Goodreads。 Though I am very pleased with the amount of reading I have done throughout this marking period, I am disappointed about how much I’ve been struggling lately to keep up with the app。 For the next marking period, I would like to work on better updating Goodreads, even if that means I have to put a few of my books on pause。 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 I know I rate almost all of the volumes with 5 stars but this one I really really mean it。 This volume is my new favorite。 Unlike the ones that were actually sad, this was the one to make me actually feel something which is maybe because I had absolutely no idea on what was going to happen other than Shinsou showing up。This one starts off with the end of the battle Endevour and Hawks were in against the Nomu。 I, as much as I hate Endeveour, have to admit that it was such a badass fight。 We even I know I rate almost all of the volumes with 5 stars but this one I really really mean it。 This volume is my new favorite。 Unlike the ones that were actually sad, this was the one to make me actually feel something which is maybe because I had absolutely no idea on what was going to happen other than Shinsou showing up。This one starts off with the end of the battle Endevour and Hawks were in against the Nomu。 I, as much as I hate Endeveour, have to admit that it was such a badass fight。 We even get to see Endeveour's record which shows a glimpse into his family。 It sucks that this is really leading into a redemption arc but I do love that half of his kids are not here for it and the other half are cautious of it。 Natsu coming in with calling out his dad is quality shit。 I live for his family hating him like they should。This battle also leads into finding out about the grooming that Hawks was put through when becoming a hero, which made me so god damn emotional。 I can't even put into words how upsetting it is to see Hawks, this overly confident little shit (and I mean that in a nice way, I love hawks so much) being basically forced into joining hero society and being taught he doesn't matter。 He even says "If corrupting myself is enough to put everyone else at ease, then I will gladly take on this job。" This shows how hero society is fucking corrupt even though they are supposed to be the good guys。 There are many 'heros' or 'future heros' that I wouldn't blame if they became villians。 Speaking of villians, Hawks is working with the league even if its just undercover for hero society。 I do think though that maybe his morals kind of overlap with theirs to an extent, I think he's more of a morally grey character because of the way he's was raised。Onto happier shit, my boy Shinsou arrived ready for battle! Seeing him interact with Aizawa has been a gift and I've enjoyed every second of it。 Shinsou has grown so much from being able to just use his quirk to now being able to fight hand to hand, his quirks stronger (a little thanks to his support item), and he has his own binding scarf。 It's sad to see him frustrated over how his first match went but seeing Aizawa support him and reassure that he's doing fine is enough。 I so badly hope that he passes into the heroics department, he's worked to damn hard to not make it。The first battle of 1A against 1B was so badass and the start of the second one is looking good。 I've been so excited to finally see more of 1B's quirks and students。 I don't really know what else to write about this section。 It's definitely interesting to see how both classes measure up to each other as one has had more in real life experience while the other has had more class experience。 Also I love mushroom girl already。I'm excited to see if we get to read in depth about every battle and every 1B student or if it's just the battles that are the most interesting。 Plus I'm so nervous about Shinsou against Midoriya because I want Shinsou to make it into heroics so bad。Oh god, I literally forgot about Midoriya's dreams and his chat with All Might which also made me emotional。 Because I forgot and added after, this is gonna be real quick。 I, at first, didn't like the dream part because it was out of nowhere and confusing (I might still not understand it fully but eh it's fine) but as it continued I started to like it。 It was educational on some One for All backstory stuff which is definitely necessary with the lack of information Midoriya and the audience knows。 One of the people we couldn't see other than the outline kind of looked like dabi but I feel like thats impossible so eh ill shove that to the back of my mind for right now。 A cute part though was Midoriya mentioning how beautiful All Might's mentor was and it reminds us about how Inko looks a little like her。 This makes me remember about the theory about how they might be related or how he might be related to All for One。 I don't know which one I believe is more likely right now but it does keep me thinking。 That was supposed to be short, whoops。 。。。more

I am so excited for the Joint Training Arc in season 5 so I had to read the volumes before it comes out and whew, this is going to be an amazing arc to see in action。 Shinsou finally getting a storyline is so exciting because he was so intriguing in the Sports Festival。Also, the look into the Todoroki family at the beginning of this volume was nice to see。 I hope Endeavor can really redeem himself from the stuff he has pulled in the past。
